now for 7 interesting things about me ... hmmm .. isn't 7 too less a number :P ? Anyways here it goes ..

1. My hubby and I dated for almost a decade before we got married , we've been married 3 years and I am still crazy about him !!

2. I never thought I'd start writing a blog , I just dint think I had it in me to write or maintain a blog and I am now addicted ..

3. I have a fetish for bags, shoes , jewelry and I just cant have enough of them ..

4. I think I am a hoarder of sorts ...its hard for me to get rid of stuff ..

5. I neither forgive nor forget easily ..that makes me the best kinda friend and the worst kind of enemy ..beware :P

6. Even though I love early mornings , I ain't a morning person at all ..

7. This is more of a wish .. but then its still interesting ..coz its the wish to travel around the world with hubs , see as many interesting places , beautiful people and different cultures !! I have begun my journey but its still a looooong road ahead ..

I cant believe its been a week and i haven't penned down a word ..time does seem to be flying fast !! As for the whole week , well i've been busy and lazy , happy and sad ..ive learnt yet again that while you may or may not have a plan for yourself , life always has a plan for you .. and all one needs to have is faith and belief .. on that note i celebrate life and indulge in my favorite feature of the week Fill in the blanks hosted by the lovely Lauren at the little things we do ..you're most welcome to link up and play ...

Here are my answers :

1. Today i am wearing my pink tee and pink PJ's

2. My favorite childhood food was Chinese and my favorite food now is still Chinese ..i could have chowmein anytime of the day not to mention Orange / Kung pao chicken my fav dishes ..slurrrrrrrrp !!

3. A day that i am too busy is rare but the day i fall asleep before hubby does or before bugging him to chat with me some more is most definitely a day I was too busy :P

4. The last movie i saw was Road,Movie - a hindi movie starring the very hot and talented Abhay Deol and the next movie I want to see is Remember Me ..reviews anyone ??

5. My favorite smell is the smell of the first rain of the season, as it falls on the parched earth because nothing smells so good !

6. A weird little quirk i have is everytime i go outside the house , even if i have the keys , the access card etc etc ..i still check everything twice , sometimes even thrice.. it might feel like OCD but i always have the feeling i am forgetting something.

7. When i take personality quizzes they always say I'm an extrovert , make friends easily ..

This week i am in Santa Barbara ..this was a one day trip hubby and me made last year ..Nestled between the Santa Ynez mountains and the sea , Santa Barbara, also known as the American Riviera makes for a perfect weekend destination .. Below picture has the famous Stearns wharf , dating back to 1872 it is California's oldest working wharf , and the Mission or more popularly known as the Queen of Missions built by Spanish Franciscans in 1786 and the State Street, home to shops , restaurants , pubs ..its the cultural and commercial hub of Santa Barbara.

Im finally part of history.. i finally made it as audience for Season 7 for The Ellen Degeneres show and it was super super fun ..It was her Oscar special show and oooooh i still cant believe i was there to watch it live.. I have so much to tell you but that will have to wait coz today is Friday and its time for fill in the blanks ..a weekly feature hosted by Lauren at the little things we do .. 1. One thing i MUST do before i die is travel the world with my partner.

2. I would rather not have someone as a friend than have someone without his/her own identity anyday ..yeah this one's for someone particular who btw is absolutely spineless

3. If i could give my younger self one piece of advice it would be to prioritize what and who's important in life and also to study as much as you can before you start working ..it doesnt come easy after that !!

4. If i won the lottery tomorrow id donate some , save some and spend most on travelling around the world with my family and good friends ..

5. The best surprise ever was when i was among the few selected for an All India Talent scholarship and i was in Std VI.

6. My biggest fault is i am too emotional and my heart rules over my head .

7. My biggest strength is ill have to agree with Lauren on this one that im a people person , easy to get along with , easily make friends and can make others feel at home and welcomed ..

A hundred odd blogger templates , backgrounds and headers later, i think i've finally found a layout for my blog that im satisfied with.. at least i think so, for now..but im giving it a makeover, adding some gadgets, deleting others and tweaking some stuff.. Blame it on the change in season or just me i wanted a new look , a new perspective.. sort of like spring cleaning ..

Today is the 1st of march , the onset of spring ..more importantly its the festival of colors also known as Holi back home , a festival that brings in unadulterated joy ,mirth , dance ,music and bright colors and even though i'd promised id take a break from blogging for a couple of days i just couldnt resist the urge to share a little festivity :)

Holi has undoubtedly been the most boisterous and fun filled of all the Hindi festivals .. Holi is about squirting colored water , throwing colored powder , dunking friends in mud pools amidst teasing and laughter , getting intoxicated on booze and reveling with family and friends alike ..Holi is about being having fun and getting away with doing all the things which one wouldn't normally do , but has the approval to do it on the occasion of Holi ..coz as they say in Hindi ' bura na maano ..holi hai ' meaning one shouldn't feel offended coz its Holi ..Its about forgetting differences , bridging gaps and renewing bonds of love and friendship and on this joyous occasion of Holi, I hope that the bright colors of Holi bring in your life , the colors of joy , happiness , contentment , peace , love , friendship and all that your heart desires ..
